The bathrooms that are far from the eyes of visitors are usually the last in the list of priorities when renovating a home. However, without having to do works, you can have a bathroom remodel with some touch-ups such as painting, lighting, accessories, and storage.
Play With The Paint
Painting the walls or shelves can be an economical way to update your bathroom without major changes. But before you jump into the roller, you have to have some considerations
For example, if the bathroom has moisture problems it would not be enough to paint. In this case, it would be necessary to resort to a professional to determine the reason for the humidity (ventilation, pipes, etc.) and to clean the area previously. On the other hand, bathrooms are wet areas and appropriate paint and products must be used that prevent mold formation. Finally, if the bathroom ceiling is very high, the walls and ceiling of the same color should be painted (provided it is not white) to make the stay more comfortable and visually more attractive
Inadequate lighting can make a bathroom remodel monotonous and depressing even if it is a large cabin. You can improve the lighting of a bathroom with economic measures, such as removing from the outside (whenever possible) everything that prevents the passage of light to the bathroom window (bushes or tree branches, for example). Another step to follow is to replace the thick curtains with others that let the light through maintaining the privacy
On the other hand, you can add mirrors or elements that reflect the light throughout the room. A large mirror immediately changes any place. In parallel, you have to study the bathroom lights and put some appropriate lamps
Slightly more complicated but not excessive small changes, such as replacing an opaque door with a translucent one or adding a solar tube or a skylight, can also strongly help improve lighting.
Update Your Accessories
Changing bathroom accessories can be the easiest and cheapest way to fix your bathroom. Choose handles in bright or eye-catching colors (without going over) to give a bathroom remodel. On the other hand, boats, carpets, paintings, soaps, and shower curtains are simple and economical changes that give a totally different air to the bathroom.
A small trick is to raise the shower curtain rod more to make the bathroom look more spacious (be careful, this requires buying a curtain longer than normal).
Simplify The Boats
Half-empty shampoo cans, abandoned beauty products, and perfume samples quickly accumulate in the bathroom, taking up valuable space. Storage solutions are not always attractive, so you will save time, money and space by choosing the right bath products. You really need to have what is needed every day and store or dispose of the rest.
If you still need more storage space, look at the walls. Installing a shelf above the toilet tank works well for less frequently used items. On the other hand, well-chosen furniture or baskets (with lids) fit in any corner and allow you to store elegantly.
